ELA/VOCABULARY
In class, we learned about affixes (Prefixes and Suffixes)! We did different types of vocab menus on them and it was really fun and challenging! We also did some worksheets about facts & opinions. In those worksheets, we have to idenify the difference between facts and opinions.
HISTORY
In history, we had all of the fifth graders divided into 3 classes, Mrs. Baliton's, Mrs. Paterson's, and Ms. Garabetian for R2R (Road to Revolution.) In each classroom, everyone is in groups with either 1 or more events. Then, all groups research about their event(s) and create a script.
MATH
For math, we learned about how mixed numbers can turn into improper fractions and, in measurement and data, we learned more about line plots!
TESTING! DO NOT DISTURB!
Also, throughout the month of April we did a lot of state testing! We were warned to be very quiet for our classmates and other classrooms when they were testing, but we finally did a big push and got through it!
